SoundID Reference - Upgrade from Reference 3 or 4 Studio Edition to SoundID Reference for Multichannel (key only)

SoundID Reference for Multichannel delivers accurate and reliable reference sound for speaker setups from simple stereo up to 9.1.6 Atmos systems. This upgrade allows you to keep all existing room & headphone profiles owned in Reference 4. The version for multichannel provides all the features in SoundID Reference for Speakers & Headphones (stereo version), allows you to calibrate your multichannel studio speakers to set the frequency response target to be completely flat, and to choose from various target curve options. A simple and guided software setup minimizes human error to the minimum to allow more room for creativity and less for technical details.

System requirements 

→ A valid permanent Reference 4 Studio Edition license 

→ macOS 11 Big Sur, 12 Monterey, 13 Ventura, 14 Sonoma, 15 Sequoia 

→ Windows 10, 11 

→ Internet connection for periodic license validation (full offline use not 

supported) 

→ SoundID Reference Measurement Microphone, or Sonarworks XREF 20 

Measurement Microphone 

→ Microphone stand for multichannel system measurements 

→ A microphone clip for the measurement microphone that is being used. For 

Sonarworks measurement microphones, a ø21 mm 0.83ˮ clip is needed 

→ Audio interface requirements during the speaker measurement process: 

○ 48v Phantom Power support 

○ The same audio interface must be used for input and output 

○ The audio interface must support and be set to one of the following 

sample rate formats: 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88kHz, 96kHz, 192kHz  

○ The audio hardware setup must consist of a single external hardware device 

device only (additional preamp units are supported)
