Optional eight-channel AD converter (ADAT, 24 bit/192 kHz)

The ADC8 analog-to-digital converter module is a pre-installed or reinstallable ADAT digital output

for the SPL P8 – eight-channel microphone preamplifer with discrete technology.

Centerpiece

The centerpiece is an eight-channel 24-bit converter chip (AKM 5538) with sampling rates from

44.1 kHz up to 192 kHz. The converter module ofers an ADAT output (TOSLINK) and a word

clock in and output. Highly acurate quartz oscillators ensure a clean, low-jitter master clock and

as soon as an external synchronization signal is present, all internal oscillators are automatically

disabled to prevent interference.

Important:

The ADC8 converter is only compatible to the product SPL P8 – eight-channel microphone preamplifer with discrete technology. The converter module cannot be installed in other devices.

Pre-installed

P8 devices with pre-installed ADC8 are usually build to order. Please ask you dealer for a BTO unit if the device is not ofered with the optional converter installed (e.g. in online stores). The dealer can order this confguration directly from us.

Reinstalled

The ADC8 converter module can also be reinstalled after purchase by qualifed technicans. It is not necessary to open the device. Follow all safety and mounting instructions witin the converter manual
